The ITB Berlin 2026 was another remarkable milestone for Quest Lodges & Safaris. As the world's leading travel trade exhibition, ITB brought together thousands of tourism professionals, destinations, airlines, hotels and travel buyers from across the globe.
For Quest Lodges & Safaris, it was an invaluable opportunity to showcase the unique beauty of Malawi and Zambia while strengthening our position as a trusted Destination Management Company in Southern Africa.
Throughout the three-day exhibition, we proudly presented a diverse portfolio of tailor-made travel experiences, from wildlife safaris in Liwonde, Majete and South Luangwa National Parks to the crystal-clear waters of Lake Malawi, the cultural richness of Mpale Cultural Village, the scenic beauty of Zomba Plateau and the exclusive island escapes of Likoma Island.
Our goal was simple: to introduce international travel partners to destinations that remain authentic, uncrowded and rich in culture, wildlife and natural beauty.
ITB Berlin 2026 provided an excellent platform to reconnect with long-standing partners while establishing new relationships with tour operators, travel agencies, wholesalers, educational institutions and MICE planners from Europe, North America, Asia and beyond.
The meetings generated exciting opportunities for tailor-made leisure travel, educational and student exchange programmes, wildlife and conservation tours, birdwatching expeditions, luxury holidays, family adventures, combined Malawi and Zambia itineraries, incentive travel and small group travel.
Responsible tourism remains at the heart of everything we do. During ITB Berlin, we highlighted experiences that directly support local communities, conservation initiatives and locally owned businesses.
Visitors showed particular interest in Malawi's conservation success stories, community-based cultural tourism, educational travel programmes and the opportunity to combine unforgettable wildlife encounters with the relaxing beaches of Lake Malawi.
This year's exhibition reaffirmed a growing trend within the travel industry: travellers are increasingly seeking authentic experiences, meaningful cultural connections and destinations that offer both adventure and sustainability.

Every year, the world's tourism industry gathers at ITB Berlin, bringing together destinations, tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, hotels and tourism professionals from across the globe.
For Quest Lodges & Safaris, participating in ITB Berlin marked an important milestone in our journey to position Malawi as one of Africa's most authentic and rewarding travel destinations.
As a Malawian Destination Management Company, our mission at ITB Berlin was clear — to introduce international buyers to the incredible diversity that Malawi offers.
While many travellers know Africa for its famous safari destinations, Malawi presents a unique combination of unspoilt wilderness, vibrant cultures, breathtaking landscapes and the world-famous Lake Malawi, all without the crowds found in many traditional safari destinations.
Throughout the exhibition, we met with tour operators, travel agencies, travel designers and industry partners from Europe and beyond, sharing our expertise in tailor-made holidays across Malawi and neighbouring Zambia.
One of the greatest achievements of ITB Berlin was the opportunity to establish valuable business relationships with international travel professionals.
We introduced our carefully designed safari experiences, educational tours, cultural journeys, family holidays, birding expeditions, luxury escapes and combined Malawi–Zambia itineraries.
These meetings opened exciting opportunities for future collaborations and strengthened existing partnerships, allowing Quest Lodges & Safaris to reach new markets while promoting sustainable tourism in Malawi.
